Sunrise Ceremony
A special thanks to our comrades on Wapole Island for granting us an opportunity to see this ceremony.
NOTE:
Photos were taken only after pemission was given by the Wapole Island representatives.

I apologize for their not being more photos. It is one of the sacred ceremonies of our brothers.
There are reasons why photos are not allowed.
I would encourage everyone to see this ritual performed; the people performing it can far better explain the meaning of the different acts.
The sun at full rise [breaking the tree-line.]
I just thought it would be interesting to catch the sun at the varied stages of rining.

Our brothers who honored us with their Sunrise Ceremony.
A brother explains the sunrise ceremony to the observers.
Essentially, you are sending prayers to your loved ones who are in Heavan with the rising smoke. This is in part the reason for photos not being permitted, these prayer could be captured and never complete their journey.
The bear wil now stand guard over the ashes that are the result of the fire and the tabbaco used to send our prayers to our loved ones.
When The Wall was dismantled and all the materials were removed, the ashes were sprinkled around where The Wall was standing.
