| Charles O.A. Pleiness Published: Wednesday, 01-Jun-05 Charles Otto August Pleiness, Age 84, of Fruitland Park, Florida, went to his eternal rest on Thursday, 21-Apr-05. Comrade Pleiness was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He retire as a wood model maker from General Motors, Warren, Mi. He was born in Detroit, Mi. and moved to Fruitland Park in 2004, after being a winter resident for20 years. Comrade Pleiness was a Lifetime Member of Fred Quandt VFW Post 3901. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Hazel of Friutland, Fl. Sons: Charles C. [Diane] of New Baltimore, Mi., Glenn B. [Tina] of Covington, Ky. Daughters: Diane Burby [John] of White Lake, Mi. Eleven Grandchildren and Nineteen Great-Grandchildren. He is preceeded by his son Curtis R [Dianne.] He has been laid to rest in the Florida National Cemetary, Bushnell with Sumter County Honor Guard conducting the Full Military Honors. |

| Frank A. Sass Published: Tuesday, 03-Feb-09 Frank A. Sass, 82 of Algonac, Mi. died february 3, 2009 in River District Hospital. He was born January 29, 1927 in Detroit, Mi. Sass served with the US Army during World War II in the Pacific Campaign. He was also retired from the Michigan Natiuonal Guard. Commrade Sass was a Past Commander from Fred Quandt VFW Post 3901; serving from 1971-1972 and again from 1994-1995. Commrade Sass was also a Past Master of the S. Ward Lodge #62 of F&A M HGe is survived by his wife Patricia, Children: Frank (Lori) Sass, Lori (John) Henderlong; Grandchildren Frank Ian and Ryan Matthew.
